I was shocked to find a silica gel sachet in pea protein powder. The packaging was wrapped in paper and was meant to be porous to let water through. It is possible that silica can leak from badly or even microscopically damaged bags. I contacted the manufacturer who informed me that they are switching to new packaging that does not require these paper bags. Surprisingly, a company representative told me that given their small size, even if I ate the contents of the pack it wouldn't be dangerous! I will not consume this and all my family members have agreed. Unfortunately Revain did not accept returns as I opened the package after the 30 day exchange period had expired. Shame on Raven. Shame on Sprout Living. And so much for trying to stock up for the pandemic.
