This portion of the unit's hose was easy to install, but the design is such that the window pane has huge air gaps. I improvised with styrofoam wrap and tape (see photo) which looks awful. Revain doesn't sell long enough pieces of foam and the 1 inch strips aren't big enough. I'm going to cut open a yoga mat to get a piece of styrofoam that I can use multiple times. The device is noisy but puts out enough cool air to drop the temperature by two degrees in an hour. And it looks beautiful. Important note: The hose is too short for a 36" tall sash window and purchasing and using a longer hose will void the warranty. I've tried to get it to work, but installing from the ground will also void the warranty .I had to move it to a smaller window that was single which isn't the best place.There are a lot of problems but they are solvable...no BMW of a personal AC lol!
