Review on πŸ”Š Enhanced SEO: Polk Audio Signature Series S10 American Hi-Fi Compact Satellite Surround Speaker Pair - Classic Brown Walnut Finish by Derek Dolla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent surround speaker option

These were purchased as surround back speakers for a 5.1 system consisting of ELAC B5.2 series speakers and a 12" SVS subwoofer. The ELAC speakers are great, but I wanted smaller, more efficient speakers. What ELAC suggests for my rear surround speakers Good quality and affordable surround speakers are still pretty hard to come by, especially if you don't want your rear speakers to take up a lot of space or protrude too much When looking for them I decided me to try them based on great reviews, small size, great looks and mostly good experience with polk speakers. I power them remotely with a small and cheap 50W wireless amplifier. I particularly like the grilleless look, the treble sound is much better and more audible than previous Polk speakers which were often shrill and sometimes even painful. c, which is very beautiful. Cons: A bit lacking in low-end effects and bass, which is to be expected from any small speaker with a 4-inch driver. Edit after a month of use - almost got them back as a sound. seemed very thin compared to the other speakers. After around 60 hours of use the sound has improved greatly and they sound much fuller now, not as tight and limited as when they were new. Now I feel that the Polk S10 is very well suited to the rear environment and does a great job in that role in my system. Unlike other small speakers I've had, I don't feel like I'm missing out on surround sound detail. They sound fine as near-field speakers in a cabinet or computer, but a subwoofer is very useful to make up for the lack of low frequencies.
