I wanted something that would allow me to move the monitor up and down and move it closer if needed. I looked around and read all the reviews. I almost didn't buy these because I couldn't use the hub base without buying the base itself. I'm so glad I took the risk. That's great. I read so many reviews saying it doesn't support their monitor. But if you take the time and consider the weight of your monitor, you might be surprised. My monitor weighs almost 10 pounds which is 27 inches. I thought in the future I might want to upgrade to a 32 and they claim it weighs 17 pounds. upper limit for this mount. I also want to remind those who are still using a 10 year old monitor that weighs more than you think. It's not about size, it's about weight. The only adjustment I made out of the box was an internal hex on the arm. Again it is perfect and well made.
