I need a premium leather case that will look good and last the life of my iPad. I was led to believe that closing the lid wouldn't turn off the iPad and that the fingerprint scanner wouldn't work. I bought it anyway, glad both predictions were wrong. When I close the lid, I see the screen turn off just before the lid closes, and I see it rotate when I open the case. As for the fingerprint scanner, I have big hands so I put the cover on before programming the fingerprint. Then I just showed it to the reader with my fingertip. The iPad read my fingerprint and now only sees the edge of the finger every time it opens. I am 100% satisfied with this case.
