Review on Men'S 8 Panel Wool Blend Newsboy Cap Set - Classic Ivy Hats For Stylish Fashion by Chris Sandridge

Cramped packaging ruins half of purchase

The good news: These hats are very nice compared to many others on the market. They have a quite attractive shape; the workmanship is flawless; they fit just as advertised; the color selections are varied for just about any tastes; and the price is more than fair for this product. The bad news: I took advantage of the two-pack, which has a price break over the single hat option. Unfortunately, the hats are packaged in an overly small ziplock bag (perhaps the same size used to ship one hat?), and while the hat on top in the bag (black pattern) was perfect, the bottom hat (gray pattern) arrived somewhat crushed and apparently permanently creased out of shape. My efforts to massage the wrinkle out were unsuccessful--perhaps because of the 10% wool/90% polyester makeup of the material. In any case, I ended up buying one great hat and one lumpy, wrinkly one--not really worth the price break offered for the two-fer combination.I would recommend these hats highly (a five-star purchase), if not for the cramped and damaging packaging. If you do purchase this product, I would suggest you buy one at a time, even if it costs a bit more. The uncreased hat is great and well worth the price. I only wish I could have said the same for its poor mangled brother.

Pros
  • Used caps for kids in a newsie play they were perfect
Cons
  • The cap may not be suitable for those who prefer hats with adjustable sizing
