Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Osprey Seral 4 Lumbar Bike Hydration Pack in Black - Ultimate Comfort and Efficiency, One Size by Brian Schultz

Great backpack with challenges

The Osprey Seral 4 Lumbar Hydration Backpack is a smart and convenient "belt bag" with a large 1.5 liter water reservoir. The backpack is well designed and has multiple internal pockets including water storage. The back of the pack has thick padding to keep it pressed against my lower back and after a few minutes of riding I almost forget it's there, that is until I have to fight the water hose again. It's advertised as a bike water bottle, but the mouth spout isn't well designed. It attaches to the packaging with a magnet, which isn't very strong. With a good shake, it will fall instantly and potentially get caught in the spokes of your impeller. There's no way to attach it near your mouth, and to attach it you have to stop, have a drink, thread the spout back through the strap at the back of the pack if you don't want it flapping around, and then attach to a weak magnet. I've used it a few times and the plastic taste still hasn't gone away. Overall, I like the idea of this packaging, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. If it had even a remotely smart way of attaching it to the mouth this would easily be a 5 star product.
