"LED > Halogen " - Great looking, very bright UV lighting with a very simple design and build.

Rapid-fire Review: As someone who has owned several classic "tube" black lights, I can say with confidence that this is the best product for UV enthusiasts. It's simple, easy to use and affordable. Inexpensive, energy efficient, with very little noticeable thermal signature from the wand itself. I think it's fairly safe, although I wouldn't recommend leaving the UV lamps on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week just as a precaution. It would be wise to install these bars so that the beads are not in direct line of sight. It makes sense to tilt them towards the floor or towards the ceiling. Use furniture or other methods to prevent direct rays from reaching your sensitive eyeballs. The company included a set of connectors for each of the four LED strips I ordered, as well as connecting rods that turn multiple strips into one long mega strip. This means I can light four different spots in the house or connect them together and use one plug to control all four wands. I love how versatile this kit is. If I ever plan to extend my UV into more space I will definitely look for this product again. A 3-prong crankset is NOT strong enough to hold the bar together. You must use metal brackets to attach the bars to the wall when you want to install them. Otherwise you could use clear tape to keep the two bars from swinging around and weakening the gap between them. Not sure if tape is recommended, so don't try until the manufacturer says it's safe. As for me, I was able, with a little dexterity, to tie together 3 poles standing vertically in the corner of my room. I don't think they stay connected even if they fall. I think flexing a mega bar once chained could permanently damage the lightweight aluminum body. Don't be stupid and clumsy, make sure you have a setup plan for these guys before you hook them up and ruin your investment.
