Review on Dell UltraSharp U2720Q 4K Backlit Monitor with Anti-Glare Screen, Pivot & Tilt Adjustment, USB Hub, HD, HDMI, LED (DELU2720Q) by Mike Mccants

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good in bright light

I bought this mainly to counteract the glare of the sun in my family room, which sometimes shines directly on the monitor. My previous monitor would fade in direct sunlight, especially when shooting night scenes in movies. There's still a lot of blurring with this monitor in direct sunlight, but at least I can see what's going on. In daylight, but not direct sunlight, the screen is bright and crisp with excellent colors; It's so bright at night that I switched it to cinema mode to dim it. I'm connected via HDMI and at full 4k resolution, tiny white text on my desktop is partially blue, which I think is due to limited HDMI bandwidth. . I've tried connecting to the DisplayPort, but the DisplayPort connector on my computer doesn't seem to be connected to anything internally. Anyway, that tiny white text is too small for me, so I'm happy with the lower resolution that makes white text pure white.
