The wall anchors provided are poorly constructed. You need to drill holes and insert dowels as usual. I tried to drill a small hole but because the anchors have teeth the anchors didn't go in. The instructions say to drive the anchors in, so I gave it a try. The anchors bent. I decided on the next drill bit size. With a lot of wobbling and with the help of a hammer I was finally able to set the anchors. However, the teeth on the anchors widened the hole enough that when I tried to tighten the bolts, the anchors rotated freely in the hole. I decided to start over with the other anchors I already had on hand and from that point the installation went smoothly. The hooks themselves look nice, but the included anchors turned a simple installation into a bit of a headache. I highly recommend using a variety of wall anchors that you can find at any hardware store (find and use the same size anchors as those that come with hooks but no teeth). Be sure to align the anchor holes vertically. This will make the installation more stable.
