The old gearbox made the wipers bang against the pillar and underside of the windshield, that solved the problem!
Both Accord wipers moved too far. The driver's wiper hit the A-pillar and both cars hit the underside of the windshield. I opened the car to check and the plastic bushing on one of the levers broke off. I decided to replace the entire gearbox to avoid a headache if another bushing breaks in the future. There are a lot of really helpful DIY articles and videos that have helped me switch places. Took me about 1 hour to get the job done.
