A few weeks ago my husband lost his iPhone while fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. I took them so it wouldn't happen again. So far, so good. We attach them when we go on the water. I'm sure they'll be floating on the phone at least long enough for you to be able to get it out of the water! They have a quick release buckle where the black cord meets the foam wrist which seems secure enough to me but my hubs taped it together as he really doesn't want to lose his phone again. We haven't really tested them yet as none of us have dropped our phones in the water (yet), but I'm sure that day will come again and we'll be ready! At least I'm better!
