Review on Sony TDM-iP10 Digital Media Port Cradle: Enhance iPod and MP3 Player Experience (Black) by Sirious Cavalli

Well this is my first review of the Revain and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this product. But only a little, so there is hope. Let's start with the cons lol! Firstly, the description advertised states that it is capable of displaying an iPod playlist on your TV. We all know this isn't true, although it says so on Sony's website. It also advertises charging your iPod while it's in the dock. I'm not 100% sure if that's true either. My iPod Dock on my iPod clearly shows that it's charging when connected to the dock. Not so with the Sony baby cradle. I think I'll find out if there is a weekend fee. The baseboards supplied with this unit now support most, but not all, iPods. I discovered this last night while trying to plug in my 4gen nano. It seems to fit, but 4gen Nano cannot be used with this base board. But all I had to do was take the bottom panel off my iHome Doc and plug it in. It fits perfectly and looks great. The cable is a bit short, but I have a stand right above the receiver so that wasn't a problem for me. The base is light which is a plus. Nothing compares to being pushed around a lightweight bassinet because of a 'tight' cord. I have a Sony HT-SF470 and a Sony BDP-550 home theater system. So from an aesthetic point of view, this cradle was perfect. I've always had good experiences with Sony products for the most part, and overall this device allows me to do what I want. Listen to my iPod through my home receiver. I've also read that iPod videos can be viewed on the TV via the DPM connector. I'll try it out in the next few days and update this review. I hope that was helpful. ---- After reading some of the other reviews I felt I should update mine. THIS DEVICE WORKS WITH NANO 4GEN! The problem is that the baseboards that come with it don't include ones for the 4-gen nanos period!
