People who complain about this case are smoking weed. This rugged case is designed to keep dirt and SOME moisture from getting into the unit. THIS IS NOT a waterproof case, the XLR/TRS inputs are open at the bottom, but this is not a problem if the inputs are occupied. Rather, this case will help prevent the elements from falling onto the device while operating in light rain, dusty conditions, etc. and protect the device from wear and tear and dirt. Good bag for quick microphone change. If you want to collect sounds in a potentially dirty or damp place, this case is a must. that's for it, but I'd just save some money and use the case you have with your H5.
