Where the foot enters the shoe, the ankle area is so small, so narrow that a 2 year old's feet won't fit a size 7. They are made for babies with thin, very narrow feet. The boots are nice but the sole is too hard, doesn't flex. The ankle portion (neck of the shoe) doesn't stretch at all, nothing stretches or flexes to fit normal feet in there. Your baby must have very narrow and thin legs to fit in. they also look like half a size smaller. Otherwise they look great, soft inside, padded sides and sturdy boots with thick fleece.
