Is this a solid piece of equipment?Yes, it serves its purpose, being that everything on the market has not converted to usb-c. I would have given it 5 stars if it were compatible with cases.The Ethernet cable is hard to take out at first but after a removing the Ethernet cable a couple times the slot smooths out. It is not compatible with MacBook pro case. I was so happy with all the different ports I couldn't let this go. So, there is a work around if you absolutely need this. (See below)———-Engineering———You can modify your case by taking a box cutter and trimming the area so it has a flush fit. If you do not do this the adapter will not work. Please see pictures.---------Tip-------Do not travel with the adapter connected because you may run the risk of the usb-c prongs bending and braking off in your MacBook.Hey I figure if your going to present a problem, have a solution.
