I'm a designer and I've wanted to try this for a long time, but I didn't want to mess things up every time. It turned out to be EXACTLY what I was looking for! In fact, I originally bought it to apply a thin coat to various metal items to prevent my antiques from wearing or discoloring over time. It's great for this, but I was also able to repair some Gem Beads with it! Actually quite amazing. For example you can dip a bobby pin in it, put a bead on the bobby pin wherever you want and then put it under ultraviolet light and after it hardens you can make wire wraps for delicate stones and they will not break. super legal. I used a more powerful UV lamp like you use for nails. I think it's 34V or something like that. It usually takes 4 minutes to cure, but if you're making hard items like the ring above, let it set for around 6-8 minutes. I have never made anything with resin and had no air bubbles when making this ring. and i seriously didn't know what i was doing so it's safe to say anyone can use this and get good results lol.
