I used this product to run a webcam. It doesn't work above 50ft on at least 2 different cameras. It works with network cables up to 12 feet in length. It delivers power up to 50ft, but no image is displayed (I don't care if it's slow, but I'd love to see the device). It works with a USB keyboard over 50ft (so I gave 2 instead of 1 although I'm disappointed with that. I've tried this with 2 different cameras and none of them worked. I would recommend serial connection 2 16- ft USB -Cable with a passive USB hub in the middle I have found that this configuration works for 1 camera at 16m and 1 at 32ft. I don't want to experiment with different length cables as they will cost more than 16ft up to 12 Feet long and useless for 50ft webcams MFR should include this in the product information so the consumer can make an informed choice Computer with Cat 5/5e/6 connector cable For use with webcams, mice, keyboards and all devices with USB port Update: Image shown with 1080P camera on a 25ft network For comparison I rison 1080p via 2 10ft USB extension cables between a hub that can support 2 cameras tldr for webcams 12 ft ok25 ft the signal degraded badly showing only magenta and the fussy 50ft detection never works regardless of the camera type go with 2 usb cables and a usb hub in the middle for the webcam extension.
