I had all 3 mounts (Snap 3, Snap+ and clip model) I thought Snap+ would offer more magnets for a stronger hold as they are advertised as the "heavy version" and recommended for larger, heavier items. Of course I assumed that this meant a stronger bond between the object and the magnet. However, I was wrong. The only difference between the two versions is the CD holder. Snap+ seems to be more durable, however this will go unnoticed on most devices (I have an iPhone 6 and Snap 3 and Snap+ offer the same experience). The only reason I kept it and preferred Snap+ in my Mazda 3 is because I have to install them with the pinch bolt on top. When it's down it will hit my power button on every hit and turn off my radio. And unlike the Snap 3, the magnetic part (when the stud is on top) ensures the phone sits much lower so it doesn't cover my HUD. Snap 3 is the opposite. When the stud is up the phone sits higher because the magnet is also higher. As a result, the phone obscures my view of the temperature gauge. Overall I like the Snap 3 more for its other uses as a desktop stand or the ability to pinch certain objects (seemingly thin objects. Nothing like a computer monitor). . I have decided to keep both. Snap+ for my car because it sits lower and holds my CD tray better, and Snap 3 as a stand on my desk. I definitely recommend the magnetic mounts over the clamp mount. The clamp attachment kept coming loose and was difficult to reattach and reattach. I even got my finger pinched once. Wasn't fun :o Hope that helps.
