This belt isn't "perfect" and I think that's the beauty of it. It doesn't look like the forged belt of mass-produced cookie cutters. It looks like it has been done. I love it. The belt is heavy and thick. I can see this is a thing that will take decades (until your waist grows too much). One of my favorite details about this belt is that the buckle is replaceable. The buckle that comes with the belt is made of heavy brass and is obviously handmade. It's beautiful in its simplicity. However, it can easily be changed to another favorite buckle. I have a sterling silver and turquoise buckle that I've worn since I was a teenager. I plan to give it to my adult son along with this belt.
