Review on Edifier R1280T Active Bookshelf Speakers - 2.0 Stereo Near Field Monitors - Wooden Enclosure - 42 Watts RMS - Ideal for Studio Monitoring by BU Jang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I bought it on occasion, it happened, but very close to what I had planned to buy before. In general, I'm satisfied. There are comments, but ideal columns still do not exist. So in order. They live with me for 3 weeks. At first, I can note the small size of the speakers, unlike other wooden speakers. Relatively clear bass, not deep, but real musical. In the rock music that I listen to, you can clearly distinguish notes and passages. I appreciate it very much. The drums also play noticeably clean. In speakers with a subwoofer and in other larger 2.0 speaker models, the bass is not so smooth. Heard not very successful sets. I was even ready that I would not find the sound quality I needed in such a segment of acoustics that was accessible to me. But. By chance, I got my hands on the R1280T and I got the bass I wanted. The highs are quite good, the middles can be adjusted to such a balance between lows and highs that the mids sound very modern and musical. I connect the sound card E-MU0202 as a source. Foobar player of own assembly. The music is rock, some avant-garde music, some electronic showy music. At the moment very satisfied.

Pros
  • Body material, covered with "under the tree" Decorative overlays on the speakers, speaker design style, control knobs on the side, which is convenient to use. The tone control is wide and you can fine-tune the speakers for the music you need. Loud beautiful undistorted sound.
