Ideal for adopted kittens!

Enough different playgrounds and sleeping places for our adopted kittens! A bit small for adult cats (her cat mom fit on top, but she stretched and almost slipped off the edge when the pillow "curled up" (no hard edge on the top bunk, just a pillowcase). Large size for Kittens (or other small animals, all 3 of our adopted kittens slept happily together in a comfy cloth bowl bed. They now weigh almost 2lbs and the young adult mother who was able to sit on it alone weighed about 6lbs. Thin body). We have this free standing in the living room next to our reception area (where the food/water and tray are kept) and it looks sturdy enough as it is suitable for our use.Dogs/cats could turn it over fairly easily... so if that applies to your home, you should wall mount/stand it.If you have older cats I would choose a heavier and taller scratching post...this one has a low clearance (too low ig for adult cats) and an adult cat climbed on it just to get her kittens. o give them a bath, otherwise she would sleep on the top bed if we carefully placed her there. Please note that the "house" has no solid walls - these are coated fabric sides that have 2 arched openings. Kittens love it the way it is but my 4 year old son can put a kitten through fabric walls... so while it's not a deal breaker I didn't realize it when I bought it. Pretty easy to assemble...just make sure you place the correct house parts on the bottom/top (I accidentally swapped and also used screws when I had to use longer straight screws...so I had to take a few pieces apart and to repeat ;)

Pros
  • Scratching posts and houses
Cons
  • Has been damaged
