I bought this charger for the reason stated in the description It's been a while since I bought it but I still hoped it would do the job would. I plugged it in, the light comes on, which should indicate charging, but actually the battery isn't charging. Upon further investigation I found that this 7 volt charger only put out 6.1 to 6.2 volts. Typically a 6 volt charger will output a slightly higher voltage with no load and then drop to a range of just over 6 volts for charging. That never happens. The voltage starts out too low and stays there. Checking the output current has shown that the output current never exceeds 70-80 milliamps and in fact varies between 20 and 80 mA independent of the load. It should be an 800 mA, 7 volt charger. In the direct test, the charging voltage and current never exceeded 6.2 volts and 80 milliamps, usually less. The battery will never charge no matter how long this charger is connected to the battery. One star is too many.
