I wouldn't say it runs small but if you're a half size go up. I'm 8 1/2 and ordered 9 and they fit perfectly. if it makes sense I don't think they will stretch, the "strap" is sewn in and routed under the upper, it's actually nice. If you're an anime fan then you know what I mean when I say tap my foot lightly on the top of the boot for a nice little nudge to get the perfect foot-to-sandal ratio receive. Be tired, if you are a tall person, your foot may not fit the way you want. I'm not trying to be ashamed, it's just a suggestion
