Hydrangea blue, buy a comforter for the first time. I shrunk down to a bunk bed like an elderly man with arthritis, I wanted something light and simple to spread across my bed, I wanted the cute French ruffle look. It took me a year! I either found something with ruffles but no roses, or the wrong background color! I ended up going for this one, it has a different flower but it also looks like a rose, I wanted pink, well it's a light pastel pink with a dark peony lavender tone, I like that the greens on stems are not overwhelming dark green. The background is light blue. So I settled down and I'm very happy, it's beautiful. I use a duvet without an insert, so if you're using it to cover up, use a heavy sheet. I live far south, very cold winters are not the norm. I washed and dried it, quick washed, tumble dried, didn't bother to read the instructions so yes it did get a little wrinkled. But I don't mind petting it a little. I've never heard of a bed skirt that goes over the mattress, well it does and it's nice, I haven't tried putting it between the bunk and mattresses to see how it looks. So if you're looking for warm and plush, this isn't it. But you can throw in a heavy blanket, well, love the stripes on the back and the flowers.
