I have always used the Molly Mutt system because of the ease of care (just changing and washing the duvet) and durability. I have duvets that are over 3 years old. My other duvets that are still durable and the colors will still look great after years of use and washing are dark. I originally chose them because the colors match the decor of my home. But I was getting fed up with the dirt, dust and pet hair on the dark green and dark blue material, especially since I have a tawny Cocker Spaniel. So I came and bought this "I don't like Mondays" color. It's a mix of light brown and blue. It is very pretty and my dog has been sleeping on it for 3 weeks now and I don't see any dirt, dust or fur (although I know they are there). I am very happy with this purchase. I am happy with all of my blankets, but now that I have experience I would recommend that you choose the color that best suits your dog!
