The holes that attach the panel to the wall are spaced 3 3/4 inches apart.
In terms of sound, this product was easy to use. I connected bare speaker wire in the wall to the terminals on the back, connected the speaker wires from my tuner to front panel banana plugs. Everything worked. The problem arose when trying to attach the panel to an existing box in my wall. The screw holes in the wall box are spaced 3 1/4 inches apart, the holes in the plate are spaced 3 3/4 inches apart. I assumed (wrongly) that these boxes were all standard sizes.
