The yellow gold is a bit brighter than I expected but the chain is sturdy and well made. I think in a smaller mm width the yellow brightness would be less noticeable. I wanted to try out a couple of chains that were plated before investing in a solid gold one for my new diamond pendant. The 1.5mm is a good choice for keeping pendants from flopping around and flipping upside down. I’m going to use this chain for a different pendant now that I know what mm I need and luckily the clasp is sized appropriately to fit most standard pendants.I don’t plan on wearing this while bathing and will avoid lotions/sunscreen. If you are hoping to find a chain that you can wear 24/7…this isn’t it. It could be worn daily but isn’t going to withstand constant wear.
