Nothing gets old!
I bought it in February and now it's July. I've been using these to store cereal since I bought them and none of my cereals have gone stale. At my house we eat muesli in portions. Sometimes we eat it for 2 weeks and then try waffles for a week or so. When we decide we need muesli again, it's always fresh. Not sure about the reviews saying peaks are hard to align. It must be operator error, because they seem pretty self-explanatory to me. You just align them and put them on. Voila! I love them and would recommend them for dry storage. As for liquid storage, I'm not sure as I haven't tried it.
