I've been looking for a long time for an equivalent LED bulb that is thin enough to fit in my kitchen ceiling light. The halogen bulb is very thin, while most LED equivalents that emit enough light are too wide. Luckily, this lamp was designed with connectors at one end, so the thin side can still plug into an existing fixture, while the thick LED side extends downward in three directions. The light is really bright, even in full daylight you can see in the attached photos how much more light there is in the kitchen with the lights on compared to the lights off. The original halogen was 150 watts. I tried two other replacement bulbs that claimed to be equivalent to 150w halogen but they were very weak. I think this 30w bulb is a bit brighter as it replaces the 200-250w bulb but it's great for my kitchen. I can install a dimmer if I want to dim the lights, but I like that option.
