Not the easiest thing to assemble…. But I would say don't let that put you off as it looks amazing! I was concerned that the marble pattern would look gaudy but was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It's durable and I love that it fits in my automatic tablet (and the vents in the back allow you to wrap the power cord around your back, further disguising the tablet). As for assembly - I'm basically useless. when it comes to DIY, but even I was able to put it together with minimal frustration. The instructions say it takes 2 people to make the lid, but I did it myself relatively painlessly. I would like to point out that some parts look the same in the first few steps but are labeled with different letters…. Don't be the Icarus I was and just assume they are interchangeable because I assure you they are not and you will have to start over :'-) :'-)
