Review on Sony DualSense Gamepad, Galactic Magenta by Adam Kotowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

292022202222 Since last week, I've been using a gamepad. As soon as I held it into my hands, I could immediately tell that it was of higher quality than the gamepad that cost five hundred dollars. I took it with me to play on a PC despite the fact that the controller is intended to be used with a console and that when used with a PC it does not operate as perfectly and requires the usage of a few workarounds. To run, you will need to have a program that emulates an Xbox. The dualsense chips did not work in any of the games that I tried them in (they did not change the color of the lighting, they did not vibrate the triggers, etc.). It was less expensive than the Xbox controller at the time of purchase, and in games that have not yet included chips from Sony, it has the same feel as the Xbox controller in terms of the gamepad and the vibration. PC games are not designed for dualsense control, so you will see all of the gamepad settings in titles that are compatible with the Xbox controller. You also need to be able to recall the precise location of the buttons on the device, such as not a triangle but a Y, and so on. Through the use of programs, you have the ability to personalize both the color of the illumination as well as the type of vibration. I'm relieved that it can be connected with a standard USB cable because the wire from my phone became tangled. It is also possible to link it to an Android smartphone (both wirelessly and by wire), but there is another issue; it may not be a problem for everyone, but the control buttons on my phone are jumbled up, and in order to alter them, I need to install Ruth privileges on my phone. It's a smartphone model called the Redmi Note 9S, and I'm relieved that the warranty on it has expired so that I can safely roll it. In comparison to the packaging of the Xbox gamepad, they could have made the packing inside at least the same, and if they hadn't, the gamepad would just be wrapped in a bag and placed inside an empty box, where it would dangle freely. This packaging is merely enough.

Pros
  • USB and Bluetooth connection with Caution and Vibration
Cons
  • Every issue will be traced back to Sony, and not the retail location itself. Games for the PC are not playable in their entirety. The gamepad is suspended inside of an empty box; when contrasted to the Xbox, which has a dedicated space for the gamepad, this design isn't particularly impressive. The kit does not come with a cable for making connections, so it's a good thing I brought my own.
