The little guy likes the Rattle-Pillar but I would recommend upgrading the product. I bought a rattle pillar to replace a V-Tech butterfly toy that had a broken chip. Both toys are relatively heavy as they run on batteries. The butterfly has a soft head, but the rattle does not. At the age of 9 months, the baby swings a lot with toys and sometimes hits himself on the head. Butterfly doesn't hurt much. Rattle will do. A soft head for Rattle-Pillar would be much better.
