I followed the instructions on the tee. There is no way to keep the wiring away from the case so it runs across. It shorted out my wiring and everything from the power roof to the backup camera and the entire infotainment system was inoperable. I took it to the dealer and he said they see a lot of these problems with aftermarket products. Installing new wiring from the taillight cost me $750. Just be aware that the wiring will be pinched when you attach it. I think if you wrap them in tape or something it might help. Also, it doesn't fit snugly around the edges of the case, so I could easily see water seeping in there. I put this on the 2020 JLUR.
