These are exactly the same black Eagle Creek Pack It dice that you can find at REI except there are more color options here at Revain. I have used all types of packing cubes in the past including eBags, Gonex, Uncharted and so far they make my job easier. Instead of the usual ripstop fabric that all other brands use, they're made of thicker nylon with significantly thicker mesh. The benefits of using a thicker, non-stretch material means it offers more compression without sacrificing overall size. In addition, it is good for storing sharper items such as a charger and cord with a plug without fear of breakage. They're a little heavier than the ripstop, but not by much. The zippers are not YKK but are strong and smooth. The size of the kit is as stated. You can fit 4 full cubes in a 21" carry-on, leaving about 2" on the side for 1/4 cubes. Have had a few rides so far and they look like day one, can see myself using them for years to come.
