I've tried using one of the ice packs I've frozen overnight to keep lunch cold and it failed miserably. I use a soft cooler every day when I take my lunch to work. Today it was no different from home to the car to the office. Outside temp today was high 65F in the office around 70F. The ice pack was at room temperature about 6.6 hours after leaving the freezer and went straight into the cooler. In comparison, I used a similarly sized everyday ice pack and froze it each night, which was still cold and slightly frozen when I got home about 12 hours after coming out of the freezer in the mornings and on hotter summer days. . I'd still use that ice pack, but it was the one you get when you sprain your ankle, just covered in cheap plastic that needs to be discarded, and the plastic was starting to crack a bit with wear and tear. I would have sent them back but I made the mistake of throwing the box away quickly.
