If you only need to wear a bow tie for a special occasion like 'once' then this one is perfect. I had to give a presentation in a tuxedo and didn't have a plain bow tie. I have quite a wide neck - my shirt size is 19.5 inches! But this tie fit perfectly with no problems. The included cufflinks are fine too - I wore my fine gold links but if they weren't I would have no trouble using them. The same goes for the handkerchief - now it's almost impossible to use a handkerchief - it's just a decoration for the bag, but it works well. For the price you could do WAY worse - this is a very good set
