Perfect bags for our VTX-1300

My wife and I bought (2) these bags for our Honda VTX 1300 prior to our 6 day Oregon trip. The bags were excellent for what we needed. Shipping: The bags arrived within two business days as we are Revain Prime. Size: Although my wife was initially concerned that she wouldn't be able to pack everything (she packs a lot), it's amazing how much you can fit in these bags. We were both able to pack whatever we needed into our respective bags. Bike Binding: This was excellent and went exactly as instructed. They have all the straps you need and the load seemed very secure despite being folded in two rows. I was concerned about the weight as my porter says it only carries 5lbs even though it looks like it will hold a lot more. I think they set that weight limit as a safety measure and maybe we shouldn't have exceeded it, but so far we haven't had any issues. Every rider has to make his own judgment about this. Be safe. Raincoat: Each bag comes with a raincoat large enough to cover the entire load so we only had to use one of these. We actually had the chance to try it as it rained almost the whole of our trip. The covers worked perfectly. I wish it didn't have the company logo on it, but we dressed it up with the logo facing forward as we rode. It's no big deal and our pockets stayed completely dry. We love the bags and will definitely be able to use a lot of them. Although it rained most of our trip, we didn't let it spoil our trip. In fact, we love Bend so much that we're seriously considering moving there next year.
