Review on Franklin Sports Baseball Pitching Machine - Adjustable Practice Machine For Kids - 6 Baseballs Included - Great Fielding & Hitting Training, Blue by Todd Cowdrey

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Only for small children in the backyard.

I understand you get what you pay for, but I expected the machine to be able to throw the ball at least 15 feet. There is no speed or flex control on the balls you use. The balls intended for this machine are rubbish and are smashed with a ball bat. I bought a better ball but it was too big for the tube. I picked up the phone and started serving the balls one at a time and it worked better. The motor will slow down sharply after each throw and will not pick up speed until the time another self-fed ball is thrown, again requiring you to throw one at a time to allow the motor to catch up. I thought it might be batteries, but all batteries are. Generally this is only for 4-6 year olds or kids just hanging around in the garden. Of course, if you are looking for a real training device, you have to spend more money.

Pros
  • Adjustable Angles: Adjust the launch angle to practice soft throws or quick pitches. Or work on your game on the field by adjusting the angle to practice ground balls or slams. With the Super Star Test you can train all your skills at the same time!
Cons
  • Good, but not great
