We needed somewhere to hang clothes for the transitional season. I thought it wouldn't be as high as it is now. Good that there is a shelf for storing light items. Floor for shoes, boots or other items. I would be happier if it was a foot shorter. I didn't need a shelf. I decided to keep it because it took some time to assemble and I can live with it as is. If I had to do it again I would measure a little better.
