This is NOT a 29" Seat. It's actually 27 inches when the pillow is compressed. It may seem trivial, but I bought it to work at a standing desk so I can sometimes sit without lowering the table. The 2 inch difference is enough to make it uncomfortable to use at the table. If you want a 29 inch seat height, don't buy this. Buy a wooden stool that will actually seat you at 29 inches. As for me, I attached the cushion from this stool to an old 29" wooden round seat stool and it works great. I remodeled the base by placing a piece of round smoked tempered glass on top to turn it into a bedside table - it looks great this way (although I did have to remove the two cross members that hold the swivel seat in place. The stool is included , by the way). light enough (20 screws with 2 washers each) but the finish could have been a bit smoother and there was some wobbling. Also, the anti-chafing knobs on the bottom of the legs are tiny and cheap and will almost certainly come loose on a regular basis BL : not the stool I wanted but a great little table.
