You will regret this purchase. I bought it on impulse, mainly because of the lower price ($169 when I bought it, compared to about $250 for the next cheaper model). Find out about DVD formats before buying a DVD burner - this only burns to DVD-R or DVD-RW discs, which means it's not compatible with disc players that only support DVD+R Accept discs, like my computer . Even though I've tried every recording format, I can't seem to play it on my old DVD player. If you are content with building a library that can only be played on this DVD player, buy it. Otherwise, look for MULTI FORMAT DVD Recorders that can record and play all DVD formats. Also, the recorder cannot record in long play mode, which allows you to record four hours on a disc instead of the standard two hours. I was never able to finish the CD I was trying to record four hours of the show on and wasted hours and hours doing it. Pooh. Completely disappointed in the product and mad at myself for rushing to buy it!
