I've been sewing a lot of children's clothes lately and these plastic buttons are perfect for that. So far I've only used round ones, which are cheaper. These curly ones are undeniably cute, but unlike the round ones, they're harder to install. To be honest, the tool is made for assembling round fasteners. Since they are not round, they are much more difficult to install as they tend to move or wobble. The easiest way to establish them is the stars, and with those you need to be more careful with - hearts. With hearts, you need to be extra careful that all the dots are pointing in the same direction; Otherwise you will end up with a lot of strange rows of hearts. Other shapes, especially stars, are "more forgiving" in this regard. Perhaps the companies that make these snaps could create a small tool base with the shape you want to use so the shapes, especially the hearts, don't shift and are easier to install. Aside from being more difficult to attach, these buttons, like the round ones, are great for toddler clothing.
