Sangean HDR-14 AM ultra-portable FM radio, is it cool? In a word, yes. Does location matter, yes. It's a real pleasure to listen to your favorite station in HD. Search YouTube for the model and my name to see a full video of this radio. Features I love about this radio: * Super portable * Excellent signal strength indicator * HD on AM. It's fantastic.* Listening to your FM broadcasts with perfect digital sound is amazing.* Overall build quality is good.* Many menu options.* Dual alarm.* Alarm function.* Stereo on AM!* HD AM information. Sender.* RDS.* Coolness factor. Features that could be added or improved: * Tuning controls. * More presets. * Line level output. * Fix strange loud popping/crackling sound heard on AM band. All in all a great compact HD radio for travelers and people who live closer to the city. I do not recommend this to those who live more than 40 miles from the train station. It's sometimes frustrating trying to set up additional HD channels only to have them disappear into nowhere. And you wait for them to reappear. Although if it works it's golden.
