My American Standard Champion 4 Toilet Leaked Having read various articles, it has been determined that these seals can deteriorate and need to be replaced. I ordered a set and all components were in the package. While waiting for delivery, I kept searching and reading about this seal. I found a solution for a seal which was to take a needle and poke a water cyst in the seal. I had probably 4 or 5 of these "cysts" over/under the seal. After surfacing, press on the "cyst" until the water is removed. After doing this and reinstalling the old seals, everything worked fine for a couple of months. I saved these gaskets as a backup as I have 3 of these toilets and eventually I can't fix the leak with just a needle.
