Review on ☕️ Texsport Aluminum Percolator Coffee Maker - Ideal for Outdoor Camping, 20 Cup Capacity by Anthony Epps

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Updated review after the trip.

Haven't used this pot yet but it seems well made. It's aluminum, but it's by no means flimsy. I had no trouble putting the cover on and off, and the filter basket and bracket seem to be made fairly well. The dome of the percolator is plastic, I was hoping for glass but it should work just fine. Can't wait to use it camping this summer. I'm sure it's used at home before just to try it. It was nice to have fresh coffee in the morning at the campsite. The capacity is huge but I only made about 10 cups at a time which is enough for my wife and I. The durability of the jug itself, the coffee maker dome and the grounds basket is pretty good. As long as you don't spill anything or put a heavy ice pack on top, this should last for years. The only thing that bothers me is the rack that sits inside and holds the grounds basket. The connection at the base seems a bit weak. You have to watch this. I suspect if it bends and then bends back too many times it will eventually loosen the connection and possibly break. Otherwise I like the product. Cleaning is easy. I have used it several times on our trip and maybe 5 times at home on an electric stove and it still shines and looks like new.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
