Does the job in a voltmeter
After smoking out the stator on my V-strom I wanted to somehow control the voltage to avoid nasty and expensive surprises. I was able to just make a handlebar mount and plug it into the existing connector. I measured the draw at about 10mA, so I didn't bother with the switch. The display is bright enough to be seen in any light other than direct sunlight.
