I am writing this review after having owned this case for two years and it has held up reasonably well. Remember, I'm not a heavy iPad user: I use the iPad constantly for a period of time, then "take a break" for a while and use my computer instead, but I definitely don't throw it around. take it with you me on "adventures" or let some kid around. You could say I'm a regular iPad user who cares a bit. At the same time, the plastic case has not yellowed, and the leatherette case is holding up well (it hasn't started to peel off and the like, it's faded a bit). The magnet function also works great after all this time. I've dropped my iPad from various heights several times and the plastic hasn't broken, neither has my iPad. Having said that, I must say that the velvet interior has taken on a scent, nothing overpowering but if you put it straight into your nose. It smells slightly like wet dog lol. However, the smell doesn't get on my hands or anything.
