Honest Kitchen Limited Ingredient Beef Dog food is not what it seems

I have been purchasing Honest Kitchen products for a few months now and am relatively happy with this product. Our dog liked some of the groceries we bought. However, the products are confusing as there are so many versions of each type that it becomes a bit difficult to decide which ones are best for our dog. However, we found that the grain-free chicken (Force) and beef (Love) products were well received and enjoyed by our dog. They mixed very well with water as indicated. He didn't really like the Turkish version so we stopped buying it. This time, however, I ordered two 4-pound cases of the Limited Ingredients chicken and beef dog food recipe, and by the time it shipped, the chicken version had expired. (I had an online exchange with a Revain rep who refunded this product with no issues.) The beef version, while not great, was actually a huge disappointment. I mixed it the same as the others but it didn't thicken and looked like green sawdust in water with a rough texture and almost like mixed wood shavings. The dog took two sips and left. a way. After a while he tried again and refused. We seem to have wasted our money on that 4 lb box of groceries (expensive at $51) which we end up having to throw out - a real waste. I would advise people to avoid this company's "limited ingredient" products. I would also suggest that Honest Kitchen might reorganize product descriptions (for advertising) to differentiate exactly what they offer and what benefit they bring to the dog.
