You can even turn your Surface on its side and then instantly get the functionality of a portrait-mode monitor (like your phone). The benefit here is that you can see the entire printed page as you write, which gives you a better sense of the pace. This is a particularly useful feature that used to be expensive and difficult to add. Now just add this keyboard, get a little stand for your Surface, flip it on its side and voila! It's like having a brand new computer! TIP: When using the keyboard separately from the computer, it lays flat. on a desk (because it's a magnetic connection that lifts it up at an angle. A simple rolled up washcloth is just the right height and stays in place! It's an easy way to make this keyboard perfectly comfortable when taken off becomes.
